Future of Red Suite following acquisition by NXP

Following on from the acquisition of Code Red Technologies by NXP Semiconductors, our Red Suite products will be discontinued as follows:

Red Suite status

Red Suite has now entered a "limited maintenance" mode. We will not be adding any new functionality or MCU support to it. Red Suite functionality is now frozen at the level supplied in version 5.2.4, although we may, at our sole discretion, issue patch releases to fix major issues.

Note that Red Suite is no longer available for purchase.

Support services

Support services for all products purchased since 29 April 2013 expired at the end of the inclusive support services period for the product, or 31 December 2013, whichever came sooner. This includes any new support service agreement purchased after 29 April 2013.

Customer who purchased Red Suite prior to 29 April 2013 will be supported until their inclusive support services period expires.

It is no longer possible to purchase an extension to your support service agreement.

What happens when my support service agreement expires ?

If you have already purchased Red Suite, then your product will continue to function after support service agreement expires, including the support for non-NXP MCUs. You have purchased a perpetual license to use it. However it is no longer possible to purchase additional seats of Red Suite or extend your support service agreement.

Will I be able to activate/deactivate/move my license ?

Yes. You continue to have full control over your license after 31 December 2013. This includes the ability to activate (online or offline), deactivate and otherwise move your licenses, subject to the usual restrictions on moving licenses.

Upgrades to Red Suite 5

Red Suite 4 users who wish to upgrade to Red Suite 5 can still do so as long as their support service agreement is current.

Red Suite replacement : LPCXpresso

LPCXpresso, a new product that supports NXP microcontrollers only, has been released, replacing all versions and Editions of Red Suite. This product is available in both Free and Pro (paid for, including support) versions. For more information:
