Important Information for users of NXP LPCXpresso

This site is for users of Code Red branded products.

NXP LPCXpresso users should visit the LPCXpresso FAQ's for up-to-date information relevant to that product.

RDB1768 External Power Supply

In most cases, the RDB1768 will be powered via USB - either using the built-in debug connector (J9) or the USB device connector (J11).

However it is also possible to power the board via the PSU connector (J6), which is a KLDX-SMT-0201LB part (1.3mm) and the tip is hot (the pin/hole in the middle is +VE).

In order to take power from this rather than USB, put a jumper across J26.

The external power supply should be 5V regulated (maximum 6V regulated) and should be 300mA (plus whatever your USB host load is).
