The RDB1768V2 debug interface is capable of being field upgraded over USB using the Windows script provided in the below ZIP file.

Latest debug interface firmware : updateRDB1768v2.zip

  1. You must be running version 3.4.6 or later of the Code Red IDE (Red Suite or LPCXpresso) to connect to a board running this new firmware.

  2. You must update from the original firmware if you wish to use your RDB1768v2 board with a Code Red IDE running under Linux.
  3. All boards shipped by Code Red since mid-September 2010 have shipped with the updated firmware and should hence not need updating. We recommend that you use the instructions below to check the firmware version installed on your board before trying to update your board.

Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a temporary directory and then execute the installer:

and follow the instructions displayed

The optional [timeout] parameter can be used to increase the time that the script will wait for the board to switch into its update mode. The default is 10 (seconds)

Note that if the update fails the first time you run it, replug the board and try again.
