RDB1768V2
The RDB1768V2 Evaluation Board gives a solid development platform for the development of systems around the NXP LPC1768 Cortex-M3 based Microcontroller. The LPC1768 is the ‘superset’ part of the LPC17xx family, and therefore the RDB1768 makes an excellent development board for the whole LPC17xx family of parts.
The RDB1768V2 includes an on-board debug circuit for direction connection to Red Suite 3 through USB (Red Suite 2 users will need to upgrade to RedSuite 3). Alternatively it can be used with any tool suite and debug probe using the standard external JTAG connector.
New Features in RDB1768V2
Drag2FLASH - Allows binaries to be dragged onto an Explorer window and FLASHed
Ultra-tiny SMSC Ethernet PHY LAN8720 replaces prior National part
NXP UDA1380 Audio Codec replaces the prior Cirrus part
Drag2FLASH and Debug features
Debug LED 1Hz flash
Normal operation and the board can be connected to Red Suite directly via the USB.
Debug LED 2Hz flash
If a built binary file is dragged onto the Explorer (or Finder) window then the most recently dated file can be FLASHed into the LPC1768 by pressing Button SW4. During this time the LED will flash at 2Hz. Execution of the code will start when FLASHing completes.
Debug LED on
If an external debug probe is connected (such as Red Probe) then the LED will stay on and the user can debug using the probe.
