Setting the Crystal and PLL value

Sometimes it may be necessary to force the debugger to set the target clock frequency to enable a stable debug connection, or to enable to flash to be programmed successfully.

  1. Select your project in the Project Explorer
  2. Right-click and select Launch configurations -> Open current

  3. Switch to the Debugger tab
  4. Under "Script values", find the "Crystal (XTAL) and PLL value" option
  5. Click on the Value and enter appropriate Crystal and PLL values
    • The values are (XTAL/1000),(PLL/1000), so if you have a 6MHz crystal and want to connect at 25MHz, enter 6000,25000 into the value field

  6. Click apply
